Perfume review: Cloud Pink by Ariana Grande

Imagine
Due to travel, trying (and failing) to get my driver's license, and preparations for a new university year, I've been regretfully slacking on my blog. I am creating a new schedule to fit all the things that I love and still do my school work in time, since last year I used to procrastinate every exam to my own detriment.  I'm trying to start writing again about the things I love. I already wrote about a doll I unboxed, and I will now be writing about perfume, which is also one of my passions, along with doll collecting. Perfume is artistry, just like creating and designing a doll is, or writing a song, or painting. It's first and foremost the artistry of putting scents together to create something unique, and then, it is the artistry of what this new scent creates with the chemistry of your skin. Everyone who is passionate about it can tell you about a perfume they loved in the bottle or on someone else, that smelled completely differently on themselves. Funnily enough,

Rainbow High doll review - Margot de Perla

Imagine
I'm going to start by saying that in spite of being a doll enthusiast, I always found myself as an outsider in doll groups because I was never really interested in Rainbow High.  I said to myself, if I'm gonna buy Rainbow High, it has to be their Chinese New Year Lily Cheng doll: It's absolutely gorgeous and comes with a lot of traditionally Chinese accessories. It's still a doll I'm hunting to this day, but it has a ridiculous price tag so it might never actually end up on my shelf. Well a while ago I did receive a Rainbow High doll that was unfortunately left unboxed as I was busy with other matters, but I am going to change that today. So this doll is Margot la Perla from what I assume is their original collection. I know very little about this line because I don't really like them. The huge, round heads and "modern", hypebeast outfits do absolutely nothing for me.  I like this doll but all of those items and add-ons that she

Gal make (for parties, events etc.)

Imagine
There comes a time in everyone's lives where they fall asleep watching NASCAR, wake up with a throbbing  headache that seems to travel down their whole face and then spend the next 8 or so hours just watching AHS: Murder House in their pyjamas. I know I've been there. I've been there today unfortunately so I decided to put my mind off of it by... writing a make up tutorial. So it's no secret that I love japanese gal fashion. In fact I made this very blog to write about it but I got caught up in other things like game and movie reviews. Well today I am going to stay true to what this blog was actually created for and show you how I do my gal make for events, parties etc. Before I start I have to make some things clear: • You will need to moisturize your face before this especially if you have a very dry face like me. My creams are back at my apartment and I'm home for the summer, but just a heads up, moisturize your face like 2 times before you start • This will take

Oppenheimer: a few words, not-quite-a-review

Imagine
By now pretty much everyone has heard about the strange double-premiere of Barbie and Oppenheimer. It's become something of a meme so it spread like wildfire. Well I saw Oppenheimer, since I didn't have time or money to see two movies so I had to choose the one I was most interested in, and I have to say, I loooove  Cillian Murphy. Well I watched it yesterday so I let it simmer for a while and now I decided to write a few words about it (while watching Formula 1 in the background). First of all I want to talk about why I think this movie premiering at the same time as Barbie was strange and took away a lot from its own charm. I'm sorry to say but I don't think these two movies can share an audience, and since the double premiere became a meme, people are rushing to see both of them. I am certainly no movie elitist and I don't care if people want to watch something lighthearted one day, and the next one, something more serious. However, and I haven't seen Barbie

Draculaura doll restoration

Imagine
This is actually an entry I've been working on for a week . Yes, a week on the calendar! But since I wanted to make one little change, I accidentally hit "Delete" instead of Revert to Draft, and poof, it was gone with the wind. I do want to share this particular restoration so I will be reproducing the original contents to the best of my ability. This entry will be much shorter though, since I wrote the original on a step-by-step basis as I went along. Thank you, Blogger! Anyways, on the 3rd of July I came in possession of this Draculaura doll: Subsequently I was tasked with a full clean up and restoration, having to then return the doll to the owner. Older Draculauras are SUPER expensive nowadays, and I never even had one, so I admit, I just wanted to hold one in my hands. I started by getting an ID on her. She was a very decrepit Die-ner Draculaura, missing her stockings, shoes and obviously, her entire playset. It doesn't surpris

TV Favorites: Bates Motel

Imagine
Do you have that TV show that you just love ? Like, it does it for you, even if it might be flawed, and you recognize that. Well, if you can think of that show, then you are getting close to what I feel for Bates Motel. This is actually a show I started a year ago, right after I was done with my high school exams, I remember it. I started it because of Freddie Highmore, yes, the guy from The Good Doctor! I was mesmerized by his performance of an autistic doctor, it was delicious. Then I discovered that he played in this so I gave it a watch. Objectively speaking, there are a lot of things wrong with this show. First of all, it isn't loyal to the story of Psycho as it was written by Robert Bloch. That kind of upsets me, but obviously it wasn't intended to be completely so, the writers seemed to take artistic liberty. Like, a lot of it. Enough to imagine an entire backstory for Norman Bates and his life with his mother Norma (by the way, in the book there is no impli

Isi Dawndancer!!!

Imagine
Hello everyone, today is a very special day, because my gorgeous girl finally arrived in the mail: Here she is, standing in all her beauty and grace next to my books. I have chosen this background because it was increasingly harder to photograph the dolls on my vanity without including myself in it. But this background is pretty unassuming and perfect for Isi's beauty to shine. This doll was PRICEY. Trust me when I say that!! It was funded by my mom. I hope I can pay her back someday. It is also a very rare doll, but I fell in love with her the moment I laid eyes on her, and I needed to have it. She is everything to me. She is a masterpiece. I don't know what it is: the gorgeous color scheme, the fashion, the makeup, I'm not sure. But this doll is perfect to me and there are no words to describe how happy I am that she is finally part of my collection. I know little to nothing about this character, but from her wiki page, I found this out:  Isi is a peaceful girl who
